Day 1:  Amman Airport - Amman 

Our representative will meet you upon arrival at Amman Airpot and assist with your free visa to Jordan.  After, meet our driver and continue to Amman for dinner and overnight at 4* hotel in Amman. 

Day 2:  Amman City Tour - Jerash - Dead Sea 

Breakfast at the hotel then we will start the city tour of Amman. Visit the ruins of Amman’s Roman Theatre, the Citadel, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archeological and Folklore Museums. We will then spend some time in the old souks (markets) in the downtown area.  Continue with our driver to northern Jordan to visit Jerash.  This ancient wonder is nestled in a quiet valley and so well preserved that one can almost hear the banter of the merchants and the creaking of chariot wheels along the cobblestoned streets.  It was an extraordinary place in the days of Alexander the Great (332 BC) and was very prosperous  - 20,000 inhabitants once lived here. With a site guide, explore the numerous and breathtaking ruins of colonnaded streets, arches, temples and baths in a remarkable state of preservation and completeness   After, we will continue to the Dead Sea for some floating in the salty water and the famous mud bath!  Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea in 4* hotel. 

Day 3:  Dead Sea - Kerak - Little Petra

After breakfast and some free time, we will continue to Kerak to visit the12-century Crusader castle built over the remains of earlier citadels, some which date back to Nabataean times. The castle in itself is more imposing than beautiful, although it is an impressive example of the Crusaders' architectural military genius.  Wander through underground corridors with huge kitchens, stables and sleeping quarters with several floors. The top of the castle offers magnificent views in all directions.  We will then continue to Little Petra for some camping and hiking fun.  Along the way, observe the daily life of the surrounding area.  Shepherds with red and white-checkered headscarves herd sheep and goats, camels roam seamlessly through the countryside, and Bedouin tents dot the landscape. After settling in to the camp, we will go on a hike through the mystical Little Petra area and then return to the camp.  Here a special activity awaits – a Bedouin cooking lesson!  Take part in preparing dinner and then enjoy your hard work around the campfire while candles light up the walls of the rock towering above the camp. Day 4:  Little Petra - Petra - Little Petra

After breakfast at the camp, we start the tour of the legendary Rose Red city of Petra for a day of exploration. This city of the Nabataean's was built over 2,000 years ago and lays hidden in a huge rocky mountain accessed via a high and narrow gorge. With monumental facades and spectacular buildings sculpted out of solid rock, this breathtaking site has been described by UNESCO as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage," and also one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.   Upon arrival at the Petra Visitor's Center, we will arrange a 2-3 hour guided tour with an English speaking site guide to explore the main attractions of the lower part of the city starting from the main gate all the way through the kilometer-long Siq to visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, the Theatre, all the way down to the Nymphium and Qaser El- Bent.  The guided exploration of the site will take in many of the over 800 individual monuments including buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, and colonnaded streets, that were carved from the kaleidoscopic sandstone.   Have lunch inside Petra at Al Basin Restaurant and then some free hours on your own to explore such sites as the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice.  The Monastery can be reached after a steep climb of 800 steps.  This impressive structure is the largest of the rock-cut facades and so large that the door itself is bigger than a house.  The High Place of Sacrifice thought to be the holiest site of the Nabataean's and is one of the most thrilling walks in Petra. Climb up the steep steps of the ancient route with its wide views over the monuments of the Petra basin.  Pass beautifully carved tombs and monuments and marvel at the work involved in creating this ancient site.  In late afternoon/early evening, return to the main gate where the driver will meet you and take you to your very special "room" for the evening…spend the night inside a cave!  Here you will get to experience the life as the Nabataean did centuries before which also includes, if you like, taking part in dinner preparation.  Dinner and overnight camping.

Day 5:  Little Petra - Shoubak - Petra

After breakfast, a short drive through the mountains will take us to Shoubak.  Today you will get to experience the life of a shepherd.  From the days of Abraham down to modern times, sheep have abounded in the Holy Land. The Arabs of Bible lands have largely been dependent through the centuries upon sheep for their living.  The youngest boy in the family becomes shepherd of the sheep,. As the older son grows up he transfers his energies from sheep raising to helping the father with sowing, plowing, and harvesting the crops, and passes on the shepherd's task to the next younger boy.  And so the job is passed from older to younger until the youngest of all becomes the family Shepherd.  Each day a shepherd might take his flock from a pen near his home to graze on the fresh, succulent growth in the nearby village pastures. He also might shear the winter fleece from the sheep.  The day is full of different tasks depending on the time of year.  During the experience, you will also have a shepherding lunch.  Dinner and overnight in Petra at 5* hotel.

Day 6:  Petra - Wadi Rum

After breakfast at the hotel, some free time in the morning then we will continue to Wadi Rum.  Imposing, towering rocks and crags “God’s skyscrapers", rise up from Rum’s desert floor and the silence seems to thunder through the canyons. We will have lunch at the camp and arrange a short introductory camel ride around the camp area.  Then when the time is right, we will continue exploring on one of the best rides of your life - during a 3-hour sunset 4x4 safari.  It is then time to view one of the most stunning sunsets in the world.  End the day at with a traditional Bedouin dinner around the campfire. Dinner and overnight camping in Wadi Rum.

Day 7:  Wadi Rum - Aqaba

After breakfast, our driver will take you to the Red Sea resort village of Aqaba where you will enjoy viewing the corals and aquatic life during a 3 hour glass bottom boat ride.  After, you will go on a short city tour to explore the souks, coffee shops, and cafes. Then it is time to check in to your beachside resort and splash around in the warm water of the Red Sea or relax poolside.  Dinner and overnight in Aqaba at 5* hotel.

Day 8:  Aqaba - Aqaba Airport or Amman Airport

After breakfast, and based on flight details, transfer to the airport for farewell and departure.
