Day 1:  Arava Border - Wadi Rum
Our representative will meet and assist you with your visa to Jordan on the Jordanian side of Arava border in Aqaba.  After, leave city life behind and venture into the "Valley of the Moon" - Wadi Rum. The winding, hilly road meanders away from Aqaba and suddenly turns into a flat red and orange sand sea with imposing mountains emerging from its floor. Explore its vastness during one of the best rides of your life - on a 2-hour 4x4 safari and experience the magic of the desert, the sand dunes and some of the ancient inscriptions , rocky formations and natural bridges.  Later in the day, experience Wadi Rum as the Bedouin have for centuries - by camel. During the 2-hour trek, get an up close and personal view of the Bedouin way of life and the mesmerizing desert scenery.  You can easily imagine the famous Lawrence of Arabia might come galloping around the next corner on his camel.  Stop to view the famous sunset.  This is without doubt a place where heaven and earth come closer together. During the day, we will also have lunch at one of the camps.   After, return to the camp for dinner and overnight. 

Day 2:  Wadi Rum - Petra
Breakfast at the camp, then we will continue to Petra.  This “Rose Red City” is the legacy of the Nabataean’s, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, today Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. We will arrange your entrance fees and hire for you a private English speaking site guide to explore the main attractions of the lower part of the city for 2.5 to 3 hours.  You and the guide will start from the main gate all the way through the Siq to visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, the Theatre, all the way down to the Nympheom and Qaser El- Bent.  You then have some free hours on your own to explore further.  After, return to the main gate and to your 3* hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:  Petra
Breakfast at the hotel then return to Petra for a free day to explore on your own sites such as the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice. The Al Deir Monastery, the largest of the rock-cut façades, is at the back of Petra to be reached after a steep climb of 800 steps. As twilight approaches, the glow of the setting sun on the multicolored stones is breathtaking.    The High Place of Sacrifice offers views of amazing tombs full of incredible carvings and stunning views of the wadi below. On the return, take the Wadi Farasa Trail that passes by the Lion Monument, the Garden Temple, the Roman Soldier's Tomb, and ending near the Great Temple. At the end of the day, return to your 3* hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  Petra - Kerak - Dead Sea - Madaba
Breakfast at the hotel, then continue along King’s Way to Kerak.  Along the way, observe the daily life of the surrounding area.  Shepherds with red and white-checkered headscarves herd sheep and goats, camels roam seamlessly through the countryside, and Bedouin tents dot the landscape.  Upon arriving in Kerak, visit the 12-century Crusader castle built over the remains of earlier citadels, some which date back to Nabataean times. The castle in itself is more imposing than beautiful, although it is an impressive example of the Crusaders' architectural military genius.  Wander through underground corridors with huge kitchens, stables and sleeping quarters with several floors. The top of the castle offers magnificent views in all directions.  Next stop is the Dead Sea – the world's largest natural spa and one of the most unique spots on earth .The water and mud of the Dead Sea have been recognized for their healing properties since Biblical times.  Experience the strange sensation of floating effortlessly - its mystical waters contain so much salt and minerals, it is impossible to sink!  A truly unique experience for both body and soul.  End the day in Madaba – the “City of Mosaics”. View the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Land dating back to the 6th century BC located within the Church of St. George and the extensive and beautiful mosaics adorning the floor inside the Church of the Apostles.  Explore over 20 churches, caves and baptismal pools dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods. Madaba is most famous for mosaics and colorful, hand-woven carpets, but there is much more to see than that. Take the time to walk along the streets to see local craftspeople and artists crafting unique and authentic pieces of art. Dinner and overnight in Madaba in 3* hotel.

Day 5:  Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Amman
Breakfast at the hotel, then continue to Mt. Nebo and retrace the steps of Moses and admire the spectacular view of the Promised Land just as he did over 2,000 years before. It is very easy to feel that you have arrived some place special.  On a clear day Jerusalem, Jericho and the Dead Sea can be seen.  A memorial in Moses’ honor can be found at the entrance to the early Byzantine Christian church where Moses is believed to have died.  End the day with a city tour of Jordan’s capital – Amman. The city is built on a series of jabals (or hills) and offers spectacular vistas at every turn.  Towering above the city on Jabal Qala'a is the Citadel.  This site has seen the rise and fall of most of the civilization’s that have inhabited Amman for the past 7,000 years.  It is most noteworthy for the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the remains of a small Byzantine Church. At the foot of the hill lies the 6,000 seat Roman Theatre, built in 161 CE, and which to much amazement is still used for cultural events today.  Dinner and overnight in Amman in 3* hotel.

Day 6:  Amman - Jerash - Sheikh Hussein Bridge
Breakfast at the hotel, then In the morning, a beautiful drive through the hilly landscape covered with olive and orange trees will lead to Jerash, so well preserved that you can almost hear the banter of the merchants and the creaking of chariot wheels along the cobblestoned streets. It was an extraordinary place in the days of Alexander the Great (332 BC) and was very prosperous  - 20,000 inhabitants once lived here. With an English-speaking site guide, explore the breathtaking arches, temples and baths in an amazing state of preservation and completeness.  After, transfer to Sheikh Hussein Bridge for departure.
