6D5N JORDAN TREASURES

Day 1: Arava Border - Wadi Rum.

Our representative will meet you on the Jordanian side of Arava Border  and assist with your visa to Jordan, then escort you to our driver.  Leave city life behind and venture into the "Valley of the Moon".  During a 4 hour 4x4 safari, explore the Arabian trails of Lawrence.  Dinner and overnight in Wadi Rum.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra

Breakfast at the campsite, then continue to Petra.  We will arrange your entrance fees and hire for you a private English speaking site guide for 2.5 to 3 hours.  . Access the hidden archaeological treasures of the Rose City on a walk through a narrow deep siq, where the rocks finally give way to reveal the famous facade of Al-Khazneh (the Treasury). Once inside the ancient city, discover tombs, temples, an impressive amphitheater, and a Roman colonnaded street. If you're feeling energetic, on your own, ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir, better known as the Monastery. Ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury but is far bigger and the views from the nearby cliff-tops are incredible! Dinner and overnight in Petra.

Day 3: Petra Trekking the Back Way

Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to Beida to enter Petra in a way in which very few visitors have - through the secret entrance to the Monastery. Start the trek on a trail which initially winds across open farmland.  For the first two hours of the trek the path contours around the mountain ridge with fantastic views to Wadi Araba desert.  Then the climb starts at the narrow route, open to sheer drop-offs, leads to perhaps Petra's most awe-inspiring monument, the Monastery. We will then walk down the well-worn Nabataean steps into the heart of Petra.  Dinner and overnight in Petra.

Day 4: Petra - Moses Spring – Madaba – Mt Nebo - Dead Sea

Breakfast at the hotel, then we start the day touring Moses spring in Wadi Musa. Then we drive to Madaba to see the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land in existence on the floor of the 6th century St George Church.  A short drive brings us to Mt. Nebo, also known as Pisgah, the most revered holy site in Jordan.  Here God showed Moses the Promised Land before he died. End the day at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, some 420 meters below sea level. Float on the surface of the buoyant waters.  Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 5: Trekking Dana Nature Reserve.

After breakfast, we drive south to the Dana Nature Reserve. We meet our Bedouin trekking crew and guide and begin our trekking, approximately 6 hours, which includes a lunch stop. From Dana to Feynan, it's mostly downhill and then route levels out and we enjoy a more leisurely walk through the valley, flanked by the Dana Mountains. Dinner and overnight in Dana.
