Day 2:  Amman - Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Hammamat Ma'in - Dead Sea
Breakfast at the hotel,
then start the day with a visit to Madaba.  Discover the oldest preserved ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land dating back to the 6th century BC located within the Church of St. George   Continue to Mt. Nebo and retrace the steps of Moses and admire the spectacular view of the Promised Land just as he did over 2,000 year before. It is very easy to feel that you have arrived some place special.  On a clear day Jerusalem, Jericho and the Dead Sea can be seen.  A memorial in Moses’ honor can be found at the entrance to the early Byzantine Christian church where Moses is believed to have died. Next stop is Hammamat Ma’in, an area with enchanting waterfalls and thermal hot springs set amongst high hills overgrown with vegetation. Enjoy soaking in this natural spa setting and then continue to the world's largest natural spa and one of the most unique spots in the world - the Dead Sea. The water and mud of the Dead Sea have been recognized for their healing properties since Biblical times.  End the day with a magical experience by floating in the sea admiring the dazzling crimson and orange sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 3:  Dead Sea - Wadi Mujib - Kerak
Breakfast at the hotel, then this day is filled with adventure at Wadi Mujib – Jordan’s natural water park.  Spend the day hiking, climbing and wading along the Siq Trail.  After, continue on to Kerak for dinner and overnight

Day 4:  Kerak - Wadi bin Hammad - Petra
Breakfast at the hotel, then continue to Wadi bin Hammad  - a narrow sandstone gorge with abundant water and splendid hanging gardens. Trekking in the wadi is like trekking in a subtropical rain forest. Water seeps from every crevice while an abundance of plants and palm trees grows vicariously from the canyon walls displaying all different hues of green.  After a 4 to 5 hour trek, continue to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:  Petra
Breakfast at the hotel, then start the day hiking through the “Rose Red City” of Petra.  It is the legacy of the Nabataean's, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, today Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. With your private guide, walk through the former capital of the Nabataean's.  One of the ways to get there is through the 3km path meandering through a narrow gorge (Siq) hundreds of meters high.  The walls of the Siq are bursting with color from deep pink to purple to ocher. The path abruptly ends at an opening that reveals Petra’s most famous monument  - the Treasury - carved into shear rock and towering over 40 meters high. The guided exploration of the site will continue to take in many of the over 800 individual monuments including buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, and colonnaded streets, that were carved from the kaleidoscopic sandstone by the inhabitants centuries ago.   Dinner and overnight in Petra

Day 6:  Petra - Shouback - Wadi Ghwair - Feynan
Breakfast at the hotel, then today, experience possibly the most spectacular trail in Jordan during a full day of trekking from Shouback to Feynan in Wadi Ghwair.  This beautiful trail guides you through a canyon of tropical foliage – like wandering through a “lost world”. Although this is one of the smaller wadis, it is home to an amazing hanging garden. The sides of the canyon walls are covered with moist green moss and ferns, while high overhead palm trees, reeds and oleander shrubs hang down to form a natural curtain.  End the day camping in the Feynan area.  Dinner and overnight at mobile camp.

Day 7:  Feynan - Wadi Numeira - Amman
Breakfast at the camp, then spend the day trekking in Wadi Numeira.  The entrance to this wadi is very unique in that a natural gate has been formed by a boulder hanging precariously above.  High steep walls fade in and out of reds, purples and browns and walking through narrow siq seems as if it is leading into another world.   In the evening, return to Amman for dinner and overnight.
